StudioD.tv is the partnership between Jarrod Skeggs and Kevin Gilbert. Friends for over 32 years, we’ve often had clients tell us we’re like an old married couple. We’re good with that, because, in a lot of ways, we are an old married couple. You can’t know someone that long and not have both good times and bad times together. The secret, like in all marriages, is to be committed. We’ve each felt the other one should be committed at times. We are committed to this friendship and we are
committed to this business. We respect each other and we respect our clients. We work well together because we have different strengths and weaknesses that complement each other and complement our different styles and philosophies. StudioD.tv is the marriage of those strengths, weaknesses, styles and philosophies. Together, we believe we have something special to offer our clients.
StudioD.tv is a new beginning of sorts. A rebirth. It started as an idea at the beginning of 2009. An idea to get back to the basics; back to the things we love and the things we are passionate about. We were two-and-a-half years into the startup of Digital Design Solutions, a consulting and services business, when we realized that we weren’t really having the kind of fun we had anticipated when we began. DDS, as we came to be called by our clients, had grown and become more and more focused, and reliant, on IT consulting and services as our primary business. While we are very thankful for those clients, and we can definitely count ourselves fortunate to still be in business in these trying economic times, the reality is that pure IT service (server and desktop support) is not what we started out to do. Our vision was, and still is, to help our customers leverage technology, specifically the “interwebs”, to connect with those that are important to them. That’s what we’ve gotten back to with StudioD.tv and that’s what we do best.
We believe everyone has a story. Stories are how we relate to one another. We bond through commonalities and we learn and grow through differences. Stories unite us, inspire us, and remind us that we’re not alone. Stories convey ideas that draw people in and provide insight and guidance on how to take that next step, whatever that step may be. The vision of StudioD.tv is to enable our clients to use the web to tell their story. There has never been a medium like the web. The ability to use text, images, audio and video to communicate your message to anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time, for a relatively low cost is unprecedented. With the proliferation of social networks, social media and mobile devices that keep us connected to anyone, anywhere and at any time, it is crucial to develop a strategy to manage this web presence that we’re creating. Our goal is to provide our clients with the knowledge and the platform to strategically build and manage their presence on the web.
